Grim Keeper
Grim Keeper is a 3rd person hack and slash game I produced over 4 months as a part of a 6 person team as the culminating project for my VFS game design diploma. In it, the player fights through hordes of enemies by attacking, blocking, and deflecting projectiles. The game culminates in a boss fight in which the player must fight the boss and waves of enemies that spawn at specific boss health thresholds. I was one of two programmers on the team, and a game designer (as we all contributed to the game design vision).
Frankenswoon
Frankenswoon is a 3rd person platformer inspired by the physics of the early 2000s toys “Mighty Beanz”. In it, the player must navigate 4 platforming sections, mastering the uniquely difficult movement. A team of 5 worked on the game over 2 months. I was the sole programmer on this project and I largely contributed to the level design. The game was featured in a Unity Twitch stream showcasing student-made games.
Quest for Valor
Quest for Valor was the culminating level design project for the level design stream of classes in the VFS game design program. In it, pre-made assets and programming were used to create an intro platforming section, a middle puzzle section, and a culminating boss fight. The level design is based on the antepiece/setpiece design philosophy.
